On Saturday, March 30, 2024, the greater Orlando community is invited to participate and attend a reenactment of Jesus’ last days on earth. This true-to-life dramatic portrayal will involve over 700 volunteers and actors, coming together to present the Risen Experience.

Your neighbors and friends will stroll past shops in the Jerusalem Marketplace, exchange greetings with Shop Keepers, see live animals, smell, touch and catch a glimpse of day-to-day life in biblical times. Witness Jesus and the disciples make His triumphal entry, watch Jesus wash the disciples’ feet, hear the crowd clamor for the crucifixion of Christ, and join His followers to rejoice in His resurrection.

This two-hour, free event (parking pass required) is in collaboration with area-wide church members, students from AdventHealth University and Forest Lake Academy. The Risen Experience is a 2 mile guided walk on the campus of Forest Lake Academy, starting at the Forest Lake SDA Church. Bring water, sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes!

WE NEED YOU TO PARTICIPATE. Move from onlooker to participant and make space for more guests to attend. Each member, from newborns to senior citizens, can gain a blessing by helping portray to our community the powerful events of Christ’s last days on Earth!

Students this will be a great way to earn your community service hours!

There are many ways to connect by volunteering to help with set up, take down, décor, acting, costumes, or props, to name a few. Forest Lake Academy and AdventHealth University students, in addition to Orlando area community members, will be volunteering as cast members, parking attendants, coordinators, and more. The complete list of volunteer opportunities will be on the VOLUNTEER section of this website. Please join with us to make the Risen Experience an Easter event for the greater Orlando area! Working together in outreach to our community not only blesses those who attend, but those who participate! Make participating in the Risen Experience a tradition for you and your family.

So far as the Law is concerned, however, I am dead—killed by the Law itself—in order that I might live for God. I have been put to death with Christ on his cross, so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.

For Christ died for sins once and for all, a good man on behalf of sinners, in order to lead you to God. He was put to death physically, but made alive spiritually.

1 Peter 3:18

'It is finished!' Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

John 19:30

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8

When the army officer and the soldiers with him who were watching Jesus saw the earthquake and everything else that happened, they were terrified and said, “He really was the Son of God!”

Matthew 27:5

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Isaiah 40:31
